My mate, the intelligence expert who I've mentioned on here before, is currently 15k away from an advancing ISIS frontline. Sleeping with a loaded Glock under his pillow. He's switched mentally to 'war setting' - spoke to him today and the sociopathic side is back. I'm way more com scared for him than he is.
Thanks for that SA. I've just got back from a rare (for me) visit to the parish church for a candlelight vigil leading up to 11 pm. Just a short reading every 15 minutes with the candles gradually being put out, until for the last 5 minutes we were all in darkness. No preaching, just people alone with their thoughts. Incredibly powerful and moving.
Dare I say it, hasn't really looked the same at Liverpool... since he hasn't got the team playing around him, with himself as the focal point. Still early days, though. Looks like the penalty miss got to him, too.
Most relevant publication on this is, once again, the Onion. http://o.onionstatic.com/images/8/8783/original/700.jpg Here's the NYT version it's kind of based off https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BuKTSrFCcAEpLPv.png
Yes, well done to Pompey. Apparently the shirt had a historic badge on it and the club are considering returning to it in the future.
You know what grinds my gears? Original Source Mint Tea Tree shower gel. Makes my bollocks sting for hours.
My father-in-law rubbed Deep Heat onto his back, forgot to wash his hands and went to the loo. I gather from the noise that it stung a tad #cruelunfeelingwoman
Why anyone uses anything but Sanex I have no idea. I've done similar, but it was with scotch bonnet peppers and I wasn't going to the toilet.
To elaborate on the soy milk thing - I'm staying at my mum's and you can imagine my dismay when all that's in the fridge is Alpro soya light and Alpro coconut milk. My breakfast was muesli with coconut milk. Not satisfying. Good thing now I'm at work I can nip downstairs for a croissant (or perhaps a full English if I can get away with disappearing for a bit). Still though, lactose intolerance cannot be in fashion. That doesn't make sense.
I have no allergies and intolerances...at least any I know about, so I have the usual heartlessness and incredulity towards poor souls who do, but lactose is not a natural ingredient in an adults diet. I can drink whole milk and semi-skimmed, but feel queasy with skimmed milk (because apparently skimmed milk has a higher proportion of lactose than other forms because the fat has been removed). I suspect that some lactose intolerant people would be better to switch to fuller fat milk.
