She was, as always, fabulous. "Silence Myself" was particularly spellbinding.

Anyone watching the Eubank fight on five? Jesus, that Blackwell guy had the biggest lump over his eye I've ever seen. A right battle.

Just listening back now. HP is a bit iffy, but Silence always works well - we've got that one locked down!

While several were watching Germany v England or listening to Fable, I was drinking a little more whisky and downing home-made tuna mayonnaise sandwiches. Bloody gorgeous they were too. While I was doing that I was watching Ex Machina.
What can I say about it? Visually, it is the most convincing film yet that I've seen where an actor plays an android yet leaves you in no doubt that what you're seeing is android and not [bad] special effects. After a minute or two of gasping at the sheer quality of Ava the android one practically forgets this is nearly all CGI with the face, chest, pelvis, hands and feet of Alicia Vikander. After that I started concentrating on the film, and it's not bad at all. It centres round the [Alan] Turing Test, but who is testing who? For those who like their Sci-Fi [All-British by the way] films to be non-stop action this isn't going to light your fire. It's quite cerebral, but not too far so that one can't see what's coming and there was enough plot and interaction to keep me interested. There are also twists in the story as the film evolves and that's good. Apparently the whole thing cost less than £11M to do and although it got a limited release it's made nearly 3 times back, so far, what it cost. Great little film. Unsurprisingly won the Oscar for best visual effects.

I have clocks all over the house in one form or another. One or two actually need manual adjustment, so just remember:

CLOCKS GO FORWARD ONE HOUR THIS SUNDAY MORNING.

    Night all.

Ref should have stopped it in the eighth. Blackwell had too much heart for his own good.

Against a boxer with better technique and a decent hook, Eubank could be in serious trouble. A big hitter but his head carriage and lack of lateral movement is an invitation to disaster.

    Entertaining fight though.

Just shown the GB training camp in Belo Horizonte in Brazil (#shudderworldcup) on Sky. Looks impressive....apparently the largest training camp of any nation. The intention is for everyone to train in the same venue to engender a team feeling. Hard to believe the Olympics is so soon.

Why the sad face? Unless you are referring to that poor Muslim guy killed for wishing his customers a Happy Easter. :(

That's was sad yes and clearly far more important an even than our events. Just being a soppy Dad as its still a bit sad here with one Easter Bunny buried yesterday. This morning we're all trying to keep the lonely one happy. Silly I know, but they were real characters in our house.

No need for apologies Fran. Far worse things going in the world, but you know how it's is with pets.... And a young teenager girl who is broken hearted. I'll have to see this as practise as it will be boys next breaking her heart.

Hmm...listening back I'm not actually all that happy! Silence Myself is great, but the other two I don't think really worked - the guy doing the sound has mixed it really badly to be honest, and she couldn't hear herself so has kinda overcompensated as they're loud tracks. Loud track & small room plus bad mixing does not a happy combo meet! Never mind, all experience, but I think the gentler songs work best in these circumstances.

Eesh....was watching the fight and he was getting pounded with uppercuts. Interesting to see Eubank Snr asking the ref to stop the fight earlier, particularly in view of what happened with him and Michael Watson.

    Wishing him a speedy recovery.
