He was proud of his daughter I recall, didn’t quite work out who she was (the stalker in me has my theories), but think he said she presented history programmes on television.

It’s not a memory but I always had this image of him as someone who would threaten to sue the National Lottery for not providing a chauffeur driven car to pick up his winnings when he won £10m

He mentioned in the Wetherspoons his passion for all kinds of music, not least Soft Cell, who came from Harrogate.
