No, apparently not, created a very long debate, had to take the comments down from the site eventually got a warning from a club representative. Also the tabloids wanted to get involved. The guy was put through the mill, then just released without charge, explanation or apology! It appears as soon has you attach a nationality/origin to abuse it changes it from abuse to a racial slur, was my understanding of the incident, took me a while to get my head around it!

No but he might have been a bit pissed off if someone had insulted his good name by suggesting he was a sweattie.
