It really is a delightful end to a rubbish football weekend. Hell of a long way home for them as well. Although I do think our bunch of wet farts could learn from their dark arts and how they get stuck in.
At least the Newcastle players will be able to see what the winners medal looks like up close, when they see Dubravak in training. Maybe he'll walk into training tomorrow with it round his neck.
Best team won. Getting rid of Ronaldo was the best thing they ever did. Ten Haag is doing a hell of a job there. Could be calling him Ten Goals in a couple of weeks time too.
Makes you wonder though. Solskjaer almost certainly didn’t want him in the first place. He might still be in a job if they hadn’t brought him back. I doubt they’d be as good as they are now though
I thought Ant & Dec missed a trick today. Handing over the cup must be the only presenting gig they’ve missed in years.
Concerning incident in the Marseille v PSG match - Kimpembe was running back towards his goal when he suddenly collapsed to the ground. Didn't go into cardiac arrest or stop breathing but still worrying.
Why are Newcastle "cheats"? How do you arrive at that conclusion? For an intelligent guy like you, I feel you have let yourself down badly with such a throwaway comment. For me, it is always good for another team other than Liverpool, City and United, Arsenal and Chelsea to be involved in winning cups! OK, it didn't happen today but it would be good if someone unexpected wins this season's FA Cup like Spurs, Fulham or Southampton.
The downside with Manchester United winning will be the press fawning over them again and all those United supporters in Southamptton, Winchester, and other parts of the region delighting in their success. Hope Real Betis knock them out of the Europa League, a team that have fraction of their support or resources.
Their Covid stunt makes them cheats. Their fans being unsufferable ****ers for a second reason if you need one
I think every club, Fulham apart, has their fair share of unbearable fans so I don't think that really qualifies as a readon to dislike them. Remind me what the COVID stunt was!
They had loads of first teamers out with injuries but used covid rules to get the game postponed. Just so happened to be at the start of their first real transfer window with Saudi blood money. Unsurprisingly a completely different team faced Saints in the rearranged game.
Thank you for reminding me as I had completely forgotten. Still prefer Newcastle to Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea though!
Not been a good week for FC Barcelona, first losing to Manchester United, and then last night being humbled by Almería (who play in red and white stripes, incidently)
