I literally called it as they put their hands into the drum. Tried to get a Manc derby but it only worked once. Could have been a lot worse.
The scriptwriters will want Luton. Grimsby would obviously be preferable in that they’re League 2, but also to avoid the general overhype for Jones in the lead up to it
I mentioned yesterday about "Welcome to Wrexham". Now on Episode 5 and I say it again, if you havent seen it, try. A great watch to all football fans.
For anyone who is concerned/interested in Saint's next opponents in the FA Cup, the Luton v Grimsby replay is tonight (7:45 Wednesday 1/2/23). I can't find anywhere with live coverage of this clash of the Titans, as apparently Notts Forest have more crowd appeal. It may be because of their opponents, but I can't be sure...
I stand corrected. In my defence, I clicked on the 'FA Cup' link on the BBC Website, and missed the important bit, that this fixture, along with three others, is on Tuesday 7th Feb. It's a fair cop, guv.
Thought I'd check when the FA Cup QF ties are as that'll likely be my next match if we make it. 18th march so only two and half weeks after the 5th, seems a bit of a quick turnaround? Not sure how much faith I have in our ticket office to sort in that timeframe should it be an away match.
Maybe Luton players have decided en masse that NJ would find it too complicated to manage only one of his teams. Or too complicated to manage either of them.
So excited by this. My Dad would have loved it - out first Southampton v Grimsby game in my lifetime. Seems appropriate ☺️.
