You like watching them, I don’t. Fair enough. I can’t argue that a team that wins the Champions League doesn’t deserves to win it, regardless of how they go about it. They’ve also had the toughest run of games to do it…but I still don’t like them.
When Real return to Madrid to parade their trophies they will do it in style.with the players and club officials wearing tuxedo suits, white shirts and black dickie-bow ties. Beats scruffy tracksuits hands down. Look how smart Ancelotti.was standing next to Klopp.
There is a planned victory parade today through the streets of Liverpool. I hope that they've invited representatives from Man City and Real Madrid.
I thought it was a terrible match, to be honest. Courtois was incredible but Real Madrid seemed to be in second gear for most of the match. I am glad they won but I think the questions will now be on Liverpool and how Klopp can take them beyond being runners up. They deservedly finished second to Man City in the PL but last night's performance was not really an advert for the best football in Europe. I wish the semi's had been televised as they seemed far more entertaining. I think the PL will be a different proposition for Liverpool next season as I just feel that Man Utd was overdue for a revival in fortunes and you wonder whether the appointment of Ten Hag will mean that it will be a more open league next season when it comes to taking the title. Man CIty look to dominate the game in England for some while and I would be interested to see what last night's result means for the current Liverpool team and whether they will need to rebuild.
A Manchester United revival will mean a more open league?? As for Liverpool, they are at their collective peak with Mane, Salah, VVD, and Firmino around 30ish. They should still be there with this squad for the next year or two. I will throw an idea out - have they adopted a RM transfer policy in signing players with potential in the shape of Elliot and another oñe from Fulham? With Real it was Vinicius and Rodrigo and Camavinga.
