Was just waddling to the tunnel apparently and didn’t see Sharp Fair play to McBurnie for decking one of them. Surprised it doesn’t happen more with the pitch invasions tbh
What a joke of a sentence. Totally unprovoked aswell, but it's okay as hes sorry and got caught up in the moment. He went out his way to attack someone. Should of been a year minimum.
Tried to get out of a jail sentence by saying he wouldn't be able to pay his mortgage. Not sure his employer would of been welcoming him back with open arms in any case.....
Four stitches to his lip - how the **** is that not GBH? ****ing **** should have got a minimum 3 years.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-61511488 Reckon this is that nasty little tramp McBurnie.
I see Vieira got into it a bit with an Everton fan yesterday, and Port Vale fans attacked Swindon players after their pitch invasion. I wonder if they will try and stop the actual invasions more than they have done in the last few years now
Possibly, but it's quite difficult to do. I mean, how do you stop thousands of people at once? I guess one way is fencing like you get abroad but I really hope not.
No way fencing happens here after Hillsborough. People (and not just the scousers) simply wouldn't accept it - I'd never go again I don't think. Be career suicide for anyone even suggesting it tbh. Agree there's nothing you can do if there's enough people who want to go on.
While that definitely has an impact I think it's far too simplistic to imply that's the only (or even main) cause. Fact is a lot of this is societal issues rather than just football and we're not in a good place at the moment and a high proportion of people behave poorly.
You're right, of course. But cocaine is SOOOOOO much easier to access now than it was even 10 years ago. And it's become the drug of choice amongst young lads at football. Not a great mix.
Talking of pitch invasions it beggars belief that some morons decided to invade the pitch last night at the U18's game. Although the club have announced that they will all receive 7 year bans.
Oh yeah definitely. The main problem it brings is it allows people to drink more so get more drunk but still really alert. Again I think its a reflection of society in general. We're the cocaine capital of Europe and its far more socially acceptable to do now than it was even 15-20 years ago imo. As you say it's so easy to get these days and it's much more spread around demographic wise as a result. That all said I think yesterday's announcement of a 5 year ban for anyone caught using or selling at a game is ridiculously over the top. Classic example of blaming all of societies failings on football.
