I like that Pep and Man City get praised for taking the competition seriously...I mean...it's not like he doesnt make changes like everyone else, he just has an embarrassment of quality players to choose from.
Hull replacing oñe Yorkshire side. League 1 could be a ridículous división next year if Sheffield Wednesday go down, Sunderland stay down, Ipswich rebuild over the summer, Charlton buy into the Adkins way. There's little room left for ......?
Have you ever seen such a crappy sport as this? Footy on ice... and the stadiums are packed!... #theuglygame
It wasn't great but Saints did try to drive forward and Redders was unlucky with that shot on the turn....
I wonder if the expansion from 23 players to 26 players could actually cost certain players a place at the Euros? Very few, but maybe some? In a 23 man squad, there's always one or two utility players; selected in order to provide cover for multiple positions, thereby allowing an extra striker or winger (for example) to get in. Whereas with 26 players, there is maybe less of a need to pick someone who can cover both CB and LB (for example) without actually being that good at either, and instead pick both of an extra CB and an extra LB. Whilst still picking that extra striker. Or alternatively, at least where England are concerned, it'll just mean that Southgate can select three more RBs. Move closer to his dream of selecting 11 RBs.
Thanks for letting us know! Clean forgot they were even playing a domestic, commonplace trophy match with another team of the same viewpoint.
The 'Gossip' page on BBC Sport is reporting that Brendan Rodgers is 'not interested' in becoming the next Tottenham manager just one day after Garth Crooks said that Tottenham must get the current Leicester boss. The shock of Rodgers' announcement has led to a public inquiry. Spurs are allegedly demanding to know why a man who is managing a club that wins a lot of admiration for his team would make such an irrational choice. An unnamed spokesperson from a take away on Seven Sisters Road told Crooks, "It stands to reason. He must be getting a bung or something. Look, he's at Leicester who've won nothing for years, unless you count that Mickey Mouse PL thing, stand a decent chance of finishing in the top 4 but nothing else. What? Yeah, OK they're in the Cup Final, but they'll lose that. Whereas, he could come to Spurs who are a super 6 club. What do you mean, what have we won? We don't need trophies. We've got Harry Kane." I have this morning e-mailed Mr Levy to confirm that I don't wish to be considered. You can never be too safe when it comes to Spurs. Great journalism, Garth, as ever!
I know, the one he scored against Barça a couple of weeks ago took a whole 21 seconds from kick off, positively pedestrian!
He is seemingly finding a new level of form this season. Maybe it’s just that he’s getting the recognition. Always been a top player, next thing the French national side will come calling... lol. No they won’t.i
He’s come out of the shadow of Ronaldo and Bale and is spending more time actually playing football, something he’s quite good at.
You'd think that Neymar and Mbappe were actually superhuman given the sheer volume of fawning over them the BT commentary team are doing.
