Good man!! I forgot Keegan
My very first hero no 7
Must confess that I still find it hard to believe that Ryan Bertrand scored for England when playing for us!! Admittedly it was against Malta, but even so ......
I just knew the missing ones would be defenders
He fell out with Lawrie
I thought Merrington was the one who finally put a stop to it? Or have I got that wrong?
He`s a bit of a pantomime villain, but just the kind of character Aberdeen need.
That didn’t come across in the programme.
In his programme interview, Merrington said he’d heard rumours (or been approached about it), so when Higgins came to his office he asked him about it. Dave said that Higgins flew off the handle at him, threatening to sue anyone who said that about him and stormed off. Dave said he never saw him again after that.
There was only one way that would end then!
He didn't get a mention on Radio 4 The Today sports slot. Watkins, Linegard, and the San Marino goalkeeper did though. Must be a pronunciation problem, endemic amongst most BBC national sports 'commentators'. To paraphrase a well known comedy series, ' he comes from Southampton you know'
He was interviewed on Radio 5.
What comedy series is that?
I tried googling with no joy, but discovered Jeremy Hardy was at Soton Uni
I like this though. I don’t want him being bigged up. Keep it softly, softly and leave him where he is.
I read that as a paraphrase of “don’t mind him, he comes from Barcelona ....”
I did like JWP playing as an old-fashioned no.8 though. Certainly another option for Ralph next season, with Diallo and Romeu at CM.
I did notice him getting into the box a lot more against Bournemouth, he looked hungry for a goal in the second half.
I've always said that he has had the knack of finding space in the box at the right time but he has been playing a bit deeper under Ralph, his finishing has improved a lot over the years.
That's the one!
