Mad that we have some of the best English attacking players for years, and we are constantly playing like a Tony pulis side.

Who did you go and watch Dave? They were two separate clubs in the 80s.

Now that’s a good point and one I’d forgotten! I went to see Havant, as I used to play rugby for them, so I used to go with mates from there. When did they combine? Must have been when I was working abroad after 87.
Thanks, Fats - getting awfully forgetful these days ..... :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Maguire would be our best CB easily. He was brilliant at both Hull & Leicester for a reason. The thing is, he is no where near an £80m centre back and not good enough for Manu or England.

Just because you dont make it at a top club, doesn't mean you are genuinely ****. Look at Bertrand, Romeu, KWP, Depay or Zaha - didn't cut it for top clubs but quite clearly still good players at premier league level. Could even argue Ings is another example but injuries were mainly the issue there.

The likes of Shaw & Schneiderlin haven't impressed when moving to United - yet we all know they were still very talented.

Massive draw for Sholing in the FA Cup and a real conflict of interest for me. They will be at home to Torquay Utd on the 24th and there should be a fair few travelling up from South Devon. I'm not sure what the capacity cap will be but the ground can hold over 1000.

I was planning on going to their league match that day so might go to that instead. Good draw that though.

It's madness though that if they had been drawn away then no fans at all would be allowed to attend <doh>

I Played for Waterlooville as a 17 year old in season 86/87 before signing for um... er.... another team near there. I then played for Havant from 93-96/97 And they must have merged season of 97/98 or 98/99.

Oh damn ..... I was living in Horndean then Denmead in 86/87 and I always thinking about going to watch Waterlooville. Imagine - I missed the chance of seeing “our” FLT in his full pomp! How annoying! :emoticon-0101-sadsm

I didn’t really rate him at Hull. I thought he was over-hyped.

Think as a nation we've gone too far the other way with defenders who can play a bit. Used to hardly rate them at all, whereas no anyone who's good with the ball with the ball at their feet is brilliant regardless of whether they can actually defend or not.

It's all ticket with a capacity limit of 400 only for Sholing fans Libs. I'd imagine they will sell pretty quickly given that there were 341 at the last match.

Josh Sims assists for Doncaster's goal on his debut to put them 1-0 up at Fratton Park. :)

With 10 goals in 2 matches in the PL thus far, and 19 in 10 Championship matches, we're approaching the point where goal-scoring in the PL will double that of the second division on a per-march basis.

This split -- where the PL, Bundesliga and Serie A are seeing eye-popping scores while the Championship and La Liga can barely buy a goal -- remains totally beyond my capacity to explain.

Big ouch! Flamengo defender Gustavo Henrique had to be substituted during Sunday’s win against Corinthians after an opponent accidentally stood on his testicles.

Madrid getting dicked 3-0 by a Shahktar team missing 10 first team players. Shocking.

Think 8 players missing, although now 2-3 but so easily should have been 1-4
