I remember Southgate saying i've told the lads to do what they do at their clubs, never remember Hasenhuttl telling Ings to play on the right wing.

I can’t imagine his former manager Klopp advising him to play second fiddle to an Everton striker either.

 

Even better strikers than Ings have played on the wing including Lineker when Cruyff was the trainer at Barcelona. It's part of the total football philosophy that Ajax created in the 1970s
