If Fulham can win their two-legged tie against Cardiff, we have possibly the dream match between two teams that everybody loves as I don´t know of anyone that has an axe to grind against either team. For any fan going to either the revamped Craven Cottage or the new Brentford Community Stadium will be an immensely enjoyable experience. Who to cheer? Probably Brentford as they would lose their star players if promotion is not achieved, same with Fulham but as they have more resources are well capable of mounting another charge next season. As a side issue, how far down the pecking order is Watkins as a potential England striker? I could well imagine Leicester hovering around for his signature to replace the aging Vardy.
I think it's fair to say Watkins is behind Kane, Sterling, Rashford, Ings, Greenwood, Sancho, Calvert-Lewin. Can't think of any more off the top of my head but he needs to being in the PL to stand a chance.
Whilst you are right, there have been times when players outside the top division were part of England squads. One of them being Steve Bull when playing for Wolves in all divisions apart from the PL during the 90s. I am sure Southgate will be monitoring Watkins´s progress. Vamos the Bees!!!!
I haven’t watchEd the Championship much this year, but have a few mates who do as they support teams in there and they all say Watkins is ok. The real star is Benrahma (sp) though I’d like Fulham up personally as I think if they did they would give us decent money for Reed
Charlton must be peed off. 12 points at the end of the season would have relegated them and kept Charlton up.
Our points deduction was carried over because we were already relegated. The points deduction would have been used to relegate us if we had survived and we would have started in League 1 on zero. Why have they treated Wednesday differently?
