So we have three teams from the Solent region in Monday's fifth round draw. That must be a first. Hopefully the top PL teams will get paired up. The thought of Manchester United getting to the final is just too awful to bear. Long may they continue trophyless.
Agree, can see how much the replay means to Shrewsbury. Cant wait to see him upset at Danny Ings late winner next week.
Manchester United Chelsea Southampton or Tottenham Sheffield Wednesday Bournemouth or Arsenal Northampton or Derby Leicester City Sheffield United Reading or Cardiff City West Brom Norwich City Coventry City or Birmingham City Manchester City Newcastle or Oxford Portsmouth Shrewsbury Town or Liverpool Lots of potential winnable ties there.
In the interest of balance, Ralph can **** off with this **** too. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/18187512.southampton-boss-calls-end-fa-cup-replays/
Replays mean more to clubs like Shrewsbury in terms of the experience for the fans, but more importantly to the bank balance of the club. Theres no way that should be taken away because a few big rich clubs who are already in the promised land, getting hundreds of millions every season don't want to have to play an extra game once in a while.
We have entered the stage where injuries are starting to mount up for us, so I can appreciate Ralph's views on what could be deemed as a unnecessary replay. But I'd just box clever for this one. We will need to rotate, we will need to rest, just do what is best for the club. If some players are missing for the tie, I can take that. If we are slightly weaker for the next league game, I'll understand that too. I'm glad we are in the draw. Get over this tricky patch, and we could be in for a very exciting last phase.
