I'm assuming you mean because I said "I don't put anything past football supporters"?

That doesn't include everybody who goes to football. Regrettably, I sometimes assume some reasoning in the reader.

For clarity then, I'll rephrase it. I don't put anything past [a few/some/significant numbers of depending on where you are in the world] football supporters. If that hasn't covered your particular piece of ground then I do apologise. But I'm done on this one.

So Saints lost him in 2009 when the youth budget was axed. No doubt due to the club entering administration. Shades of Pompey losing Mick Mills when they axed their reserve and youth teams in the 60s. And the parallels with MIngs? Both played for Ipswich. If he and Villa have a good season, and there is no reason why they shouldn't, as they have a good squad, an excellent motivating manager, who could take them to success in the League Cup, how long before Manchester City come sniffing around and willing to pay 80 million for him?

I see the president of the Bulgarian FA has stepped down. UEFA charges for both nations.

Yep, charge against England was to disrespect the Bulgarian National Anthem.

They have a point, and I hate it when we (or anyone) boos another Nation's anthem, but surely this is a lot less than sustained racist chanting and Nazi salutes. There is no place for that in society. As Harry Kane said, maybe they should have stopped the game after the first instance, as that behaviour is unacceptable once, so they shouldn't have 3 attempts to do it.

They are dead right to charge England too, it maybe not as outwardly hateful and menacing as racism and Nazi salutes but intolerance and disrespect of other countries is xenophobia and another form of bigotry which can give rise to violence in the same way.

Everyone seems to miss the word “some” out, before football fans or supporters

Nah!! Tar everyone with the same brush!!! Then someone Will have to be found the troublemaker but no doubt some will complain. Is it just possible that England's national fans are a slightly different bred to the normal club fan where the enthusiasts of Gillingham, Stoke, Huddersfield, Northampton, Wellingboro, Southend, Weymouth, Southport, Redditch, Tadcaster and so on all meet up for a jolly and things can get a liitle bit out of hand.

Still not all though. I know members of the England travel club who go everywhere and embrace local culture.

Plus it’s highly unlikely they were England Supporters Club members who had tickets to the game. Thugs like that aren’t anything to do with football, they’re just thugs.

The issues with England abroad isn't really hooliganism as such these days, more anti social behaviour combined with a heavy drinking culture not too dissimilar to what you'll see in city centre's every weekend.

No coincidence that our two recent high profile disturbances have been Prague and Amsterdam.

Plus newspapers love to put a spin on something and make it sound worse than it actually was. I don't think the really heavy boys were anywhere near Prague, Ámsterdam or Sofia. Just a few hundred on a jplly who don't know when to stop when things begin to go belly-up. Any arrests and I hope they contribute to clearing up the mess they created.

PS: With the UK about to Brexit, our European neighbours might ask England fans to apply for visas in order to attend matches or even for permission to enter the country.

A Friday evening kick off in Prague.

They set the trap and some of our supporters fell in it.
