Before I type this, I'd just like to say I like Poch. But people cannot keep saying how special he is when he lets games slip by him like this. There's a tactical change to be made, but he he waits. as the game slips by, and then relies on luck. Be brave MP, the history book is waiting for you......
Poch is really to blame here. He has done so well to get Spurs here but playing Kane when he is so unfit has backfired. Liverpool have been poor tonight and have been there for the taking, Poch got it wrong. Real shame as he is a good coach
Tonight´s game was overshadowed with the sad death of Antonio Jose Reyes in a traffic accident. PS: Just take it easy on the roads guys, there is no need to get too close to the person in front. or overtake on a bend, which some do here when overtaking a group of cyclists.
There is nothing strange about celebrating a victory for your club even if you didn't take part. Fans would celebrate if Saints won something....and none of us would have taken part.
As I knew I'd be watching the game with some hard core Reds I decided I needed to temper my usual anti-Liverpool stance and become a neutral. I chose the wrong game! I can't remember being more bored watching a match. Of course, my mates enjoyed it but the celebrations when they scored the second seemed tinged with relief that their team had somehow managed to survive playing so poorly. I was also relieved. I was by then dreading that somehow Spurs might fluke something and condemn us to extra time.
And financially! Think how much money we have all given to the club over the years, every ticket/burger/drink we buy and indeed all of us signed up to sky sports!
With the demise of the great Barcelona and Real Madrid sides that have all but dominated European club football for the past 10 years, it was not surprising to see two teams, relatively short of the grace and beauty those two La Liga teams possessed in abundance, get to the final.
Woah, Ides! It was a **** game, but both those sides have mainly played exciting, attacking football this season... better than some of the cynical stuff from Madrid of recent seasons.
