I suppose I'd slightly prefer Spurs, but I think it will be ones of those games where you switch sides depending on the score. One team falls two down so you support the other side....especially if they score one goal and you sense a fightback. Or someone gets an unfair penalty, so your support swings to the other team. The important thing is that I may watch it and I haven't watched a CL final for decades.
I think I'd prefer Spuds but gave my mates who supports them 5/1 on a bet after they beat Dortmund ffs.
My mate has won a small fortune the prick. Put £50 on Pool to qualify after the first leg of the Barca tie and has an accumulator of Pool, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea to qualify which he put on at the same time (so before the first legs of the Europa league but after both English clubs lost the first leg in the CL). Looks set to win about £2k from £70 ffs
I would prefer Spurs if I didn’t live in north London and work on the other side of the north London divide. It’s going to have to be Liverpool. They might think be unbearable but at least they’re further away.
I honestly don't care who wins, both equally as bad and will be a horrible time for any football fan who doesn't support them. If I had to pick it would be Liverpool I suppose, just so I can keep on about how Poch never wins anything
It is that or a 1 hour pre rehearsed handshake routine devised by the Spurs players in honour of the occasion with Harry Kane dribbling in the background
But we'd also get to see Poch leave Spurs as he said he would if Spurs won the CL. Mind you, I have never trusted what he said since David the jumper model stopped translating for him.
Of the two, I suppose I'd rather Spurs win it. Although if Liverpool win it, that will be two more Southampton academy products to have won the CL.
Champions league / Premier league win clauses aren't that uncommon. It is just whether or not either club expected Liverpool or Spurs to be in with a chance of winning it in the next few years!
If it's Virgil, I hope he chokes on it. Suppose I have to cheer for Spurs now. Or not watch the thing. Ugh. Horrorshow.
****ing nightmare scenario which i'll choose to ignore from now on, come on the Mackems and Wolves at the weekend...
