I'm a little tired of City steam rolling the cups. From this day on, I'll be hoping they get Utd or Chelsea in every draw for ever more. 15 goals in two games is a bit of a piss take.
If we were a top team like city and were beating a minnow 9-0, would you be calling out for one more or think they had been humiliated enough?
But to answer your question I would always want us to go for more and be ruthless. I'll live off that 8-0 forever as it is let alone if we ended up bettering it.
I agree that the 8-0 was great but we were in the same division at the time, a true rival. I don't think I would enjoy seeing us batter a league 2 or non-league club 10-0. Maybe I'm getting a bit soft in my old age. I appreciate this scenario takes a bit of imagination anyway and is something we will never have to worry about, but I just wondered what people thought.
I would. I don’t understand why City are criticised for playing a strong team and winning comfortably, when Klopp is also criticised for being beaten playing a weak one. If the FA Cup and League Cup are to retain any credibility, teams should always play their best side, within reason.
Isn't it more insulting not to play your best against a team and how exactly do you ease up...deliberately miss a goal? Not nice for Burton, but they are grown ups....not under-10s. Shame they have to play a return leg...ouch!
