RIP to all those on the helicopter and thoughts with their families, friends and all affected Very sad times.
The pilot is, quite rightly, receiving plaudits for steering the helicopter away from more crowded areas. I know from experience that the LCFC car park takes a long time to clear, so avoiding coming down where there were likely to still be plenty of supporters, he has helped save the lives of others. They also have a hotel adjacent to the ground. Respect.
It seems that Glen Hoddle’s life was saved by a BT Sports employee, who is also a PCSO and a first aider. He administered CPR and used a defibrillator to keep him alive, until the medics arrived. Another hero.
He is a hero - the fact that a Helicopter came down in stadium grounds after a game and the only damage was the helicopter proves it. It could have crashed into the stadium (where loads of people still were), crashed in the public car park, the street etc. It is very tragic, but could have been so much worse
https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/1...outhamptons-0-0-draw-with-newcastle/?c=xomplh Looking at the comments on this site thread makes me wonder about the mentality of some of our so called supporters.
I don’t read it anymore. There is such a clique with the usual group reacting to each other’s posts as if they are receiving alerts, to gang up on anyone who disagrees with their collective point of view. The site itself is a dog’s dinner, that loads so slowly I tend to click off before it has finished loading.
The rumour keeps cropping up.... Real Madrid want Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, 46, to be their new manager by the end of next month. The Spanish giants sacked Julen Lopetegui on Monday after four and a half months in charge. (Sun)
Would be good and I’d wish him the very best - I just wonder if RM would give him the time he’d need to impose his ideas. Plus I could go back to disliking Spuds.
It took him three days to impose his ideas on us.... he’ll do just fine Oh and I never stopped disliking Spurs. Not even Poch there could stop that.
Solari is the pretty big favourite with the bookies. But that can all change very quickly. Poch would fail at a club like Real/Utd I think. Spurs is about the top level unless he has some new ideas he hasn't shown yet.
