I do understand his point though...I can see why goal scorers always top the list...after all that's the point of the game, but defenders also have a massive effect on the result. However, I think club supporters are the only ones who recognise this...outsiders who have to vote for a player will usually only be familiar with the strikers/striking MFs. Bit early to consider VVD though.
