I so wish that teams in Europe don’t compete in EFL Cup. And then EFL Cup winners qualify for Europa Conference League (Runners up if winners get into UCL or EL via league)

Next years world cup is going to be awful isn't it? Keep Americanisms out of our great sport. We don't want half time shows, nor individual player entrances, or wrestling style announcements. Nor do we want half time interviews and other such ****e.
I have enjoyed watching Spain and the player who has caught my eye is Vicky López. Other than being very pretty, she is a decent footballer, very athletic and was voted the 2024 European Golden Girl - the best female U21. She plays for Barcelona and is sometimes compared to Yamal Lamine for the impact she has had at such a young age (18), although she is primarily a midfielder and not a wide player.
I was thinking maybe we should let the US hold the World Cup next year in the same way they have the 'World Series' for baseball. Just have the US in it. We can then hold the real World Cup elsewhere. 99% of Americans won't notice and will think they won the World Cup anyway.
Maybe we should apply to host the Super Bowl in England one year. We can replace the American razzmatazz with a uniquely drab and miserable British experience.
I’ve watched all of the last two games and England are playing really well again More entertaining than the dross we get from the Men’s team a lot of the time A distinct lack of pointless sideways passing, plenty of aggression to win the ball and forward passing to set up chances Come on England! Big shout out to the Welsh for their journey to get to their first major tournament, losing to these 3 teams is no shame for them and I hope to see them in more tournaments in the future Good documentary on their journey on Netflix
I can remember the BBC interviewing 2 American "soccer" fans at a previous world cup (can't remember which one) and they were getting really excited. The interviewer asked them who, apart from USA, were they looking forward to seeing and one said "Manchester Utd" and the other, "Real Madrid"
England being given a lesson tonight. So far off their game and look so slow compared to the Swedish side.
