Thoroughly enjoying them getting stuffed by Rice and Grealish, but I absolutely detest QSTK as an Englishman too.

Not necessarily because of the monarchy, I am not a hardcore Republican or a massive Monarchist either, merely because it is just such a dirge. Also singing about your serfdom and fealty before a sports contest isn't exactly inspiring.

Also its the UKs anthem, lets sing about England instead.

I don't get offended by getting our anthem booed, but equally I don't get why people get so het up about booing national anthems in Football matches either.

On the booing of international anthems I do think it's pretty ****ish, albeit harmless really, but can understand it where there's a genuine gripe there as in this case.

 

I see we still don't like making subs.

 

I think I made a good decision to only watch the first half.

 

The first half showed that Gordon was massively under utilised in the summer by Southgate. Someone to run in behind and provide width when we were too deep. Madness.

 

England's error is that we always focus on club form too much. No other international side is so obsessed with it. They stick with the players that they know can do it at international level.

Didn't boo it myself but wouldn't be lecturing people who did! God that was a tough watch. We are absolute minnows at the moment. Thankfully England decided to have pity as it could have been 5/6 nil. Rice and Grealish scoring rubbed salt in the wounds though

The only reason the booing makes me chuckle is the sheer number of ‘English’ players who Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales are happy to have in their teams. You even brought on an England youth international during the game!
