A lot of the Spanish seem to wear clothes based on the time of year rather than the temperature, but I think they do feel the cold more than Northern Europeans. I have walked down the road in shorts and T-shirt and felt comfortably warm, behind a woman wearing jeans and a zipped up parka.
But “little” Girona are 44.3% owned by the City Football Group, who own Man City, so they likely have access to good funding. I posted a few weeks back that they could potentially cause a problem for these part owners as there is a rule that stops the same owners having more than one club in the Champions League. Maybe them not having full control of the club would be an exemption? Article 5 of the Regulations of the UEFA Champions League prohibits clubs controlled by the same owners or directors from competing in the same European competition.
I’ve seen Northeners, like Geordies, wearing t shirts when us Islanders are still in coats. And I’ve swum in Florida on a hot day alone…because locals consider 70s too cold to swim.
Are Spurs that petulant? If only Arsenal could swap Arteta for Klopp ....? The pity is they got rid of Emery far too soon, who to my mind, is a vastly superior tactician and man-manager than Arteta ever will be!!
I really fancy a plum home tie against one of the big boys. Spurs, Chelsea or Liverpool at home would be fun.
I couldn't think of anything worse. We've literally played those teams twice a season for the past decade. And it wouldn't be particularly winnable.
