Saw Robert Charlton in that wonderful 2-2 draw at the Dell in 1968 in front of the Dell's highest attendance ever! Not only a súper player, but a dignified person whose behaviour was far more meaningful than mere spoken words.
The end of an era as the 25 year reign of Dave Diaper's management of Vospers/VT/Sholing has come to a close. After 1,210 games in charge and taking the club from the Hampshire League to the Southern Premier, with 16 trophies along the way and many incredible highs including a cup win at Wembley, and actually, very few lows. The man is a Sholing FC legend but he now gives way to ex Eastleigh manager and Saints fan, Paul Doswell who took them from the Wessex League to the Conference South and who very publicly criticised Nathan Jones last year, much to the latter's chagrin! Hopefully this will be the start of a great adventure for the Boatmen, who have made some impressive signings with ex Saints Jake Hesketh and Lloyd Isgrove this season. Happy retirement Dave!...
Who is that mystery player for FC Copenhagen? Has he been seen somewhere else before, representing one of the local clubs.here in the Solent region?
Unbelievable footballer. Normally I hate how we hype up our young talent but I genuinely believe he's on a completely different level to anything we've seen in decades. Certainly in my lifetime. Normally we're talking potential but he's just so mature and comfortable already. None of Rooney, Owen etc were even half as good as him at that age. Honestly don't think it's hyperbole to say he's already one of the best players in the world. Said it last year he's the difference maker for us in tournaments and I believe he will almost certainly win us one this decade. Member when everyone thought Brum were mental for retiring his shirt number. Doesn't seem so crazy now.
I've run out of superlatives to describe Bellingham. Just watch and admire. Oh, and he also scored the winner.
100% agree. What he's doing at 20 years old in a Real Madrid shirt is astonishing. There will be two players at next Summer's Euros that every country wished they had: Mbappe and Bellingham. There are plenty of excellent players don't get me wrong, but those two are easily the best players in Europe.
Saka Bellingham Grealish/rashford Kane ^ that is an insane forward line up for England. We finally have the #10 we’ve been crying for. Time to win something
Great to see Kane and Bellingham absolutely tearing it up abroad, can only be good for the National team you feel.
