I don't know how those inside Newcastle will feel about that CL draw. But the Newcastle fans are surely going to be very excited?
Demo-economic analysis of player transfers (2014-2023) - CIES Football Observatory (football-observatory.com) I am quite surprised to see Manchester United top the list of biggest defict in terms of net spend 2014-2023. In in that period they have won four trophies!!! Some return on that investment. Their bitterest rivals, Liverpool's net deficit is about a third of United's loss. Interesting to see three English sides who make the positive net spend for 2023! Without looking up the information who are the three in this category?
I would have worked out Brighton but not the other two which is a little bit surprising. Do you know anything about international football? I know less about it, because I have zero interst in these international breaks, that I have for non-League!!!
One of the most impressive things about Liverpool in recent times is their ability to sell off ****/past it players for loads of money. Does a good job of somewhat offsetting their spending.
I forgot that Lukaku played for United!!! At least they recouped much of the outlay on his departure but you have to laugh at the £80m loss on Pogba unless you consider his contribution to United winning two trophies while he was there. And PSG will follow suit next summer when Mbappe departs for Madird for nothing. As for Liverpool, they know exactly the time to release a player or not renew a player's contract. I think their biggest loss would have been Keito in this period.
The great George Best made his debut for Man Utd this week 60 years ago, I haven't seen as much of his play until watching this video, WOW just WOW! what a baller!... Just imagine him on the pristine pitches of today instead of the quagmires of his heyday, the mind boggles.
