In Spain this week in the Copa del Rey, the two teams to reach the final this season was resolved. Sevilla and Barcelona are the two teams that will compete for the trophy. Not that it is all that newsworthy. What is interesting, is the contrast with the UK in the timing and venue. For those going to Valencia it is on 21st April, which to my mind is astonishingly early. PS: Some people here might know my thoughts about Wembley!!!
If Fulham make the play-offs, is Targett's loan exended, or is his loan period until the entire season is complete? And at the end of the season Saints swop Targett for Sessegnon?
They managed to turn it around in the last 10 minutes. It would be amazing if they could get into the play-offs at the end of the season. I think most PFC fans would be amazed as well.
Pretty sure the contract would be until the end of May/June so for the season. Yeah a great turnaround for them though I suspect the playoffs will just be beyond them this season. Will be a good bet for next season though. I was just commenting on them taking 6000 fans up there which is a great effort to be fair to them. Makes me really sad to say but if we're being honest their away support has put ours to shame at points this season numbers wise.
I think your assessment will be spot on with PFC finishing around 8th or 9th, which is what they budgeted for at the beginning of the season. I feel the hierarchy at that club are all very nervous about overspending again after their experiences in sliding down the leagues and going into multiple administrations in the process, hence the rather light investment in the squad.
Wow what a start! Juve 1-0 in the 2nd minute. A lot of criticism for overweight higuain but that is some goal, watching the ball round the body and volleyeing into the opposite corner.
