There's a whole bunch of well known players / managers that are of a similar age so it's not surprising that a large chunk of them will get something over the next few years - it's crap and puts a lot of things into perspective, like I became grandfather for the first time this weekend and whilst I'm not old it made me realise I'm not actually that young anymore either and I'm not all that far behind a lot of the people I've grown up watching in the game.

Remarkable stat.
Not sure that stat is 100% correct. It should probably be players who played with him as well as under him because he didn’t start managing until the late 60s.
Still very impressive though.

One of the players who played under him started his career in whatever season that was in the 50s. It's kind of a cheat (he obviously hadn't played under Robson in the 50s) but still technically true.

Congrats on the granddad part!

There were 8 red cards at the end of the 'friendly' between Brazil and the USA womens national teams last night, all of them for Brazil <laugh>
The game finished 0-1 to the USA courtesy of an OG. Fantastic stuff.

Yes it is sad. He's a familiar face who seems have been around football for years. He always came across as an intelligent, level headed and decent sort of guy in interviews. In an age when we are told that people are living longer, 64 is a sad exception.

I was quite shocked by Kenny Jackett's passing, Despite his tenure at Portsmouth, I would always associate him with Millwall. He was typical of those kinds of manager who could work at Championship / League One and quietly go about building effective and workmanship sides. I think he did well at Portsmouth given the paucity of resource he had available.
