    If Messi had actually converted one of his chances to give Barça a lifeline it might have been different but Juve were completely impregnable tonight.

    If... if. If the officials hadn't been so blind Saints may have the EFL trophy in the cabinet. If the officials hadn't been taken in by Barca's offsides and play acting, and making simply bad decisions, Juve may have beaten PSG.

    There are so many 'ifs' on the pitch in football now [and that's without Messi taking or not taking his chances] that it almost can't be taken seriously at the sharp end of competition. ;)

    Hard to imagine any defender saying no to Juve though. And Chiellini - absolutely imperious last night - will be retiring soon.

    If he goes in the summer I'd prefer it to be a huge foreign club like Juve etc rather than a British club like Liverpool or Man Utd...

    Rashford over rated in my opinion, he blasted on the scene and had 10 good games and got involved in the England squad far too early. Could be a good player but needs more game time. Utd will be in the market for a striker in the summer, Jose will not trust Rashford to be no1 with Ibramovic future in doubt. A seasons loan would do his career no harm at all

    On 90 minutes, Zlatan landed from a leap to a totally straight right leg which jolted him and made it bend the wrong way a fair bit. Made I wince. He's not starting ET.

    Well done Celta Vigo. Not doing that well in La Liga but doing extremely well in the EL and through on aggregate tonight to the semis. It would be amazing if they could win the trophy.
