Mind you barca were able to launch an appeal which led to a suspension on their ban and they spent over £100m whilst the ban was being re-investigated. They knew they were guilty but timing allowed them to prepare for the ban by spending all that money whereas Madrid wern't able to do this. Both have special treatment imo.

What is happening with Emery at PSG? He's having a mare, right? More Dick than Unai.

Courses for horses as we know with ex-Saints managers such as NigelAdkins who was very successful at Southampton and previously at Scunthorpe but not subsequently. More is the pity!! Hope he finds another club and brings them success.

Possibly he's more a Valencia type manager than for one of the "Big Guns." If PSG do choose to fire him there will be no shortage of suitors, both in Spain and elsewhere.

Prediction: Simione goes to PSG while Unai Emery end up at Atletico!!

I hope Simeone doesn't go to PSG.

Would love to see him over here.

There are wrong issues with that on several levels. You could come up with a list:

    1. Who would want to?
    2. They must be desperate
    3. It's a bad thing they've done, damage and all
    4. But where is the market for them?
    5. Which true supporter would buy them?
    6. If, as a supporter, you bought one wouldn't you be stabbing your own club?
    7. It's not funny
    8. It's very funny
    9. One shouldn't laugh
    10. However, one does
There's a few more out there, I'll bet.

Some kids get a poor deal in life....imagine the day you realise that you're a Pompey fan. Doomed from birth. *

*I have to say that could have been true of being a Saints fan in some seasons.

Well, if you're an intelligent chappie like JWP, you realise that you can change your local allegiance. Let's hope they have the IQ for it.

As I've said before....could have been me. Lived in Portsmouth for my first eighteen years, but luckily my interest in football happened when I saw the famous red and white stripes for the first time.

I'm rather ashamed to admit it, but my son (who lives in London now) is a Pompey supporter. His argument? "Well, I was born there, so I support them" - He doesn't, however, go to games, just watches their results ....... My daughter, thank heavens, saw the light and, despite also being born in Portsmouth, is red and white through and through :emoticon-0100-smile

I know. I tried - have taken him to St Mary's a couple of times, but, no, he's stubborn. Like his old man ........

As for looking in the mirror - I've given up on that. There's some fat, old bloke in there looking back at me .......

How hard is it for him to understand....you can bet on any sport apart from football. Not exactly a hardship, is it?
