Arsenal can top their group as things stand with Ludogorets leading against Paris Saint-Germain 1-0. Arsenal have to beat PSG's result and are winning 2-0 at HT.

 

Just watched this fascinating, yet troubling, documentary about a club in Israel, Beitar Jerusalem, that signed two Muslims players from Chechnya. It is a whole new level of racism compared to this country and we have got our share of problems.

This was quite cool from the Lincoln game. I was sat at the back of that stand toward the left of the cameras as you look so didn't see it. I didn;t partake because my phone only texts and rings, no light on it.

 

Interesting. Unless there are a few torches there [it's possible], those are all smartphones with torch apps being used. I would guestimate that there's almost one smartphone to every person in that crowd.

 

I doubt it. That stand was nearly full with 4000 in it.

 

Well considering also that sales of smartphones in the UK outstrip the population I wouldn't be so quick to doubt.

Lets put it another way and extrapolate. Those are smartphones with torch apps being used. How many smartphones would also there be with torch apps that aren't being used, because the owner forgot, or didn't realise, or didn't get enthused, or the battery was low.? Now think of the vast majority of smartphones that don't have downloaded torch apps.? See what I mean.? I would say that it was a reasonably safe bet that there was a smartphone in almost everyone's pocket.

 

I get ya now. I agree, apart from those under teen years and the refuseniks like me I guess you could probably say there will be at least 2,500 smartphones there including those who didn't partake.

 

Tottenham 1-1 CSKA Moscow. Spurs need to draw to go third and drop into Europa. They've been ****e so far. Their goal might wake them up.

Looking at the CL dropouts no one fearsome unless Sevilla manage to lose tonight. Hold on Sevilla and let someone else win that trophy for a change.

I hav no idea what team they put out tonight so probably conserving their energies for the busy Christmas and New Year period of matches so I should imagine they are their suporters spent their time enjoying the winter sunshine in Portugal. FC Copenhagen might be a bit peeved but their compensation with the EL. Who knows the Danes could be Southampton's opponent's (fingers crossed for tomorrow night) in the first round of the knock-out stage.

 

Sevilla through in the CL so a fresh name will be on the EL trophy but whose name will be enscribed on it come May?

 

A crafty result by Real Madrid in drawing Dortmund. They cannot play either Barcelona or Atletico, nor the German clubs as they can second in their group so there is a distinct possibility of Arsenal having to face their old nemesis Cristiano Ronaldo.

 

No way they drew on purpose. They should have won easily but 2 pieces of genius from Aubameyang equalised.
