Cracking strike from Dani Alves who is essentially playing right wing.

BBC Radio 5 Live debating English managers during the breaks in reports from the CL semi-final. Les Reed's name pops up as an example of a failed English manager, who finds a role at Director of Football level, and is the best at it, anywhere [the pundit's words]. Gets totally glossed over. Typical.

Dybala is just tremendous to watch ... he doesn't waste a pass, his control is sublime and vision quite extraordinary. At the other end of the pitich, if there is to be a defender to pick up the Balon d'Or it has to be Chiellini. Absolutely supreme. And what a noise!!

Man Utd winning 1-0 (agg 2-0) after 65mins. Looks like they are on their way to the final of the Europa.

    Should be us. :(

When I went to Russia at the beginning of March I had to stay a night in Barcelona. As the flight wasn't until late afternoon, I took a trip to the Espanol Stadium and spotted this above one of the entrances to the stadium. He is obviously well remembered despite departing under a cloud.

I don't know about the feelings of others on here but I would love Ajax to win the EL trophy. Imagine your Manchester United supporting colleague walking into the office the following morning!! Vamos Ajax!!

Going for United...England are nearly on the verge of losing a European place as our league has performed so badly recently. A Europa win would be useful....fewer places, harder to qualify.

If they defend like they did vs Lyon they haven't got a chance, they were all over the place. If they set up well like Celta did last night, and combine it with their attacking flair, who knows...

Has anyone seen much of Fulham in recent weeks. I note that Tom Crainey has been scoring lots of goals for them. I don't know if he is a midfielder by trade but if so, is this the kind of player Saints need next season if Fulham fail to go up? Thoughts anyone??

If there was anyone people should be looking at from Fulham, then it should be their coach (if a club needed a coach).

I think he is an excellent coach. Gets a lot out of his players and usually in an attacking style too. He was the coach who got Watford promoted but was sacked before they even started the Premier League campaign.

Love the typo!! Thank you for the information. Talking of Watford, I suppose the present guy will be replaced in their never-ending game of managerial musical chairs. But something must be OK there as they were never in danger of relegation this year and have achieved some impressive results earlier in the season althought recent form suggests they are holidaying already and who can blame them as next season is going to be awfully long with the WC next summer.
