No doubting any truths in what he says, but you just can't say that and not wear an extra pair of shin pads in training next week
Complete tosser. Other players may think the same (about themselves), but I have never heard anyone express it in public before. Ghastly man.
BT has insisted it is pleased with the viewing figures for its UEFAChampions League coverage. According to Inside Sport, just 200,000 viewers have watched matches involving English clubs on BT Sport Showcase - a free-to-air channel. Guessing Sky will get it back then.
I don't fully know how it works - is Showcase their TV channel but not the online one? I watch the Champions League games online - I particularly like the fact you can easily go back to any point in the game if you join it late.
BT showcase is the crap name they give the one free game(for non subs) they have to show. BT are averaging 200k - 400k per CL game. Sky was getting 1m-2m+ per game. UEFA are pissed.
Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne robbed at gunpoint and then the thief asks him to dedicate a goal to him! I shouldn't laugh as it's quite a serious crime but that is quite funny. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football...e/35107459&link_location=live-reporting-story
Just read the article, and that roll call of people who turned out to honour Jimmy. I remember being gutted when he was injured in '66 and was convinced that with him went England's chances in the World Cup. Cometh the hour and all that and hey presto some geezer from West Ham nods in the winner against Argentina and then pops up again with 2 or was it 3 goals in the Final. Fabulous striker. The only player I have seen in the same league as him in that position was Gerd Muller. One of those strikers who does bugger all, and suddenly scores a hat trick. It's great to read that he's battling to enjoy the life he's got rather than bemoaning his luck A true inspiration.
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/649436/Real-Madrid-Mauricio-Pochettino-walk-out-Tottenham D'ya reckon he'd turn it down?....
A man who walked away as soon as he got the chance, a man who only had his best interests at heart, rather than those of our club, our players or the supporters. He kept up a front for week after week in interviews; ‘I’ve got a year left on my contract, I’m not interested in rumours, I’m waiting for the new plan from the board blah blah blah’. All of that was total nonsense in hindsight. He was desperate for a move to a bigger club. He'll ditch Spurs, the first sign of real interest from a big club & he will be out the door like a shot. No doubt.
And don't forget he tried to avoid paying us the 2 mill compo we were due under his contract. Reed stood firm and he had to go cap in hand to Spurs.
