And of course the all La Liga tie Athletic v Valencia. Vamos Athletic although I feel in my bones, Valencia will prevail. Given one of United or Liverpool will exit, likewise Dortmund and Tottenham I think the favourites are definitely Sevilla, Valencia, Villareal and Shakhtar. Really great draw!!
Good draw for Saints - Liverpool or United will get knocked out halving the chances of one of them winning the Europa League.
Liverpool could be back in next season's competition by winning the Capitol One Cup on Sunday, thus negating your initial euphoria. As United are the CL dropouts I hope Liverpool put them to the sword.
No thanks. City win Sunday, United beat Liverpool then lose to Dortmund who knock out Spuds. Jobs a good'un
Agreed. It should be a wonderful evening at both venues where the emphasis will be on enjoyment. Anyone reckon there was a bit of fixing going on with Lazio and Fenerbache kept apart, and the English contingent kept away from both of them? If so it has my blessing!!
They are concentrating on the CL and PL. Too close to call this one but I feel Liverpool will win this one despite City like to have more of the possession.
I was pleased for City and their tremendous fans with that result. They are a good advert for the PL and English football in general with their humour. However, City tend to blow hot and cold at the moment but if they are to win a trophy this season it will be a good way for Pellegrini to bow out.
I believe only Chelsea winning the champions league would stop 4th place qualifying. Europa league win is a separate qualification
Not that we've got any chance of finishing 4th (even before today), but it would take both a CL winner and a EL winner to finish outside the top four for 4th place to miss out. You're allowed five representatives from your country (however that may be made up), but not six. I'm sure all Leicester fans will breath a big sigh if relief if PSG knock Chelsea out shortly.
I can sort of see where Ronaldo is coming from. He is considerably better than pretty much everyone else at Real Madrid but he shouldn't make his opinion public.
