Balls!!

Tried to find the Fury fight highlights and accidentally saw the result before I've had a chance to watch. Will watch the highlights after MOTD.
 
Bit of advice from those of you living in the City please. I'm coming back to Norwich (from Australia) for Christmas and gagging for a decent Indian. Any recommendations please? It's been a while.
 
Both owned by Ali I believe. Ali tandoori is where my old man takes me every time I'm back. He then went to Spice lounge wearing a disguise as Ali has been serving him curry for years, and he didn't want to upset him. Ali was there apparently. Big laughs poppadoms and an extra pint of kingfisher on the house so the story goes. Enjoy HMQC!!

The Mint Room is a more modern take on Indian cuisine and their menu usually contains some interesting dishes and does rotate to keep things fresh. A bit out of the city though.

I also love the Ali Tandoori for a proper old school curry.

Each to their own, but I never go in the Mint room - service is bad and they often have 'Groupon' deals to attract customers.
 
I'd also go for Ali Tandoori as the best of a a very average bunch. I love Indian food but think it has got steadily worse over the last 20 years around Norwich. The prince of India used to be very good but since POW rd steadily developed into a night time war zone, it has declined with the quality of the clientele. Over the years I have tried most of them along Magdalen st and others to boot (What was the god aweful one in a former Gym near sainsbury's called?). I have been to the Clipper twice recently and it's alright again not great.
My parents who have always loved a good curry have pretty much given up on the Indian food in Norwich and really tend to go for Thai food now for their spice fix. We too will have to give the Merchants of spice a go.

In Nottingham I am somewhat spoilt as there are several really good restaurants in the centre and more gooduns in the burbs too.
