I've been to both and and wouldn't recommend either.
If you fancy a longer linear walk, start at Burnham Deepdale you can park there for free all day, you have a pub called the Hero in Burnham Overy Staithe after approx 3 miles (beer's OK if a tad more expensive, but I think food is VERY expensive, as it's just a few miles from Burnham Market), sit outside on the EAST side for views down to the Staithe and then walk to Holkham for one of the best views IMO, as you come up over the dunes to the beach at Holkham and then walk up to the Victoria Inn in Holkham for refreshment - same as the Hero. Catch the Coasthopper bus back to your car for about £2 each.
The cafe at Burnham Deepdale isn't too expensive.
If you go to the 'Streetmap' website, you can download and print a map of the route.
I knew I could rely on you JM! Thanks mate! Will do my research into that, that sounds great!

On the walking theme, I did the Bayfield bird walk with a mate recently. It's about 7 miles (8 if you continue on to Wiveton Bell for a well-earned sherbet <ok>) As you can see from the map, it begins on the track beside Cley Spy in Glandford & is well waymarked. Cuts through the grounds of Bayfield hall, past the lake (rammed with azure damselflies when we were there - and a grey wagtail catching flies for it's 4 / 5 chicks) and continues back to Glandford along the river Glaven bank. Superb.

Awesome, thank you Cromer! Will research this too.

Last one so as not to pee off Warky.
Walked a different section (for me) of Weavers Way couple of weeks ago.
Got off bus at Bengate, 2 miles south of N Walsham, old railway track clearly signed Weavers Way, followed it west for about 2 miles, came to an old abandoned station (Honing) then, near Honing bridge, pick up (and cross over) the Dilham and N Walsham canal which ends at Wayford Bridge nr Stalham. Disused canal apart from canoes, kayaks etc and hard going - several 'limbos' under fallen trees and very uneven path beside the canal. But stunning. About 5.6 miles to Dilham village and half a mile further to the Crown at Smallburgh. Bus home stops bang opposite the pub - which had a cracking pint of Tim Taylor's landlord <cheers> <applause>
Saw loads of stuff, grey herons, buzzard, red kite, kestrel, etc and hundreds of these banded demoiselles which had just hatched. Solitude and tranquillity personified <ok>

I love the walks when there is something like an old train line that has all been grown over and hidden. It's like being in the end of days, or walking dead. Really interesting to walk.

Any gamers on here?

I'm usually not much of a gamer, have played regularly through my life. For some reason I wanted a PS4 badly. I got FIFA (standard) and a couple of other games. One of which was "The Last Of Us (remastered)". I played it a fair bit. As usual, I got stuck on a bit I tried and died on about 50 times, gave up and got fed up for about 3-4 months.

As I had spend money on the consol, I wanted to use it more and allow my gf to use it. So when Crash Bandicoot trilogy remastered came out (which I use to play the 1st and second on ps1) I bought it thinking she would love it. She does. I waited for a fighting game, and Tekken 7 came out, so I bought that. She enjoys playing on that, and we can both play which is good. This boost of enthusiasm made me want to try again with "The Last Of Us" I cracked the bit I was stuck on, and have been totally gripped ever since.

This game is so detailed, so well written, and so beautiful to walk through. If you enjoy a game like Tomb Raider or Resident Evil. Play this, it blows my mind, the graphics, the detail of the areas, the beauty, the story writing. It's immense.

Already planned? Or inspired by this? Have a good time, please report back with if you recommend or not mate.
I can definitely recommend both and did about a 5 mile walk from Dunwich heading south a little way, before heading west across the Heath. Footpaths in excellent condition, but not sure how much the recent rain will have affected therm.

Thank you. You guys have honed my research to certain areas, which is exactly what I wanted.

Lots of excellent walks from Weston Longville to Lyng (Fox and Hounds used to be a good pub, but haven't been in for years) look up the various car parks along Marriott's Way, where you can do walks of any distance.
Also, park at Marsham and lots of footpaths through the Heath there.
Another option is park on the NW corner of Blickling Park and you can incorporate part of Weaver's Way. Check out the Walpole Arms, Buckinghamshire Arms up there as well. Food is quite expensive, but usually some good beers.

Will do bud! thank you for all the info.

Guys we are so lucky to know so much about our little part of the world! I wouldn't swap this for anything! Enjoy your walks FML. <ok>
Agreed JWM. One of the things I like is doing a walk in Spring and repeating it in Autumn and it seems like a completely different walk.
You get some great walks from the Bure Valley Station at Buxton and then go for lunch at the Skeyton Goat [HASHTAG]#superb[/HASHTAG]

Been through Marsham loads on buses to Nodge but never got off to explore further.
It's only a mile south of Aylsham so makes sense for me to investigate further - cheers <ok>

edit - just did a google search and found this.

Yes, if you get off the bus just after it passes the Plough as you come into Marsham, you can start the walk there.
Some other excellent walks in the links as well. <ok>

All this talk is getting me all fired up for a long costal walk/ale crawl!!
Another fave of mine is to take a bus to Gunton station (work being done on revamping the Suffield Arms next to the station - owner is a partner in the nearby Gunton Arms £££) then walk through Southrepps common and fen / reed bed, through the adjacent woodlands and eventually back to Southrepps village where there's normally time for an Abbot before the bus home again.
Only about 3.6 miles, but several different habitats to walk through, so lots to see <ok>
