It's the (now typical) self-aggrandising that's particularly bad about this one - who are you to define what a 'Celt' is, and what right do you have to declare a players value on behalf of the entire club?
You said i've probably offended many. If not at Parkhead (like the GB) then whom have I offended and how exactly did that impact upon Celtic? Please, do go on
It wasn't their words, it was Maley and you could argue he is qualified Anyway, nobody seems interested in seeing the inspiration in the message because of the messenger
As I said "Surely there are enough Celtic songs without introducing religion or politics or anything else" Or are Maley's words more important than Stein's?
No ****'s interested in the banner cause they just want to go and watch a game of football, not be moralised to from a bunch of hypocritical ****stains. Don't you get it?
You are what you are. You cry about banners when you have done a million times worse. You still haven't got over the bloostained one. Tell me I'm stupid.
You're missing the point yet again. I haven't seen a single person actually disparage the message itself. But you're so entrenched in your wee world that you cannot see the sheer hypocrisy of the Green Brigade to be telling anyone inside Celtic Park how to behave on or off the park as their own actions have been anything other than impeccable. Let's make it even more basic so you can understand; ****s in ****ing glass hooses shouldn'y chuck stanes.
The point was made in a different footballing era ... and one that modern football is very far removed from. So, it's a moot point ... Being a "celt" may have meant something back in Maley's day, but being a "celt" now is a well paid job to most/majority of footballers.
Maley makes a statement, Stein asks a question I see the banner as a message to Griffiths to better himself, something the club have also asked of him.....oh but the GB...
So, the club have asked him but the GB feel the need to do likewise? Who the **** are these ****s to moralise to anyone else? Especially as they've earned the clubs tens of thousands of pounds in fines due to their behaviour (choose to ignore this point like you've down throughout the thread).
