Chaps left us to join the new Mags forum but the bastards wont talk about Sunderland, well they do a lot actually, so he keeps popping back.
Cheers for the morning laugh fellas. Rage rage rage. Is that one of the lines you'll end up putting in your business memoirs when you retire? "My Bedroom Business Empire: The Black Cat Kiwi Story" Was your ability to write one of those obstacles? It seems like it was. PS: Just for the record, once again I'm simply defending myself from being attacked. I thought we were having a bit of banter when I said my "I must be clever" comment, but obviously the intention of others was a little more venomous as they decided to take it down a personal route. It's a shame, but there you go.
Seeing as how Sess has scored more under O'Neil than un Bruce i'd say he probably is. Try reading some of his newspaper article and i think you will agree.
You're probably right. I just thought there might have been a difference between scoring goals and actually enjoying the football. After all, for all of the successes a player can have, they are the ones on the pitch for 90 minutes doing what the manager tells them to do. Any frustration, if there was any, might have came from players having to restrict themselves a little until they could go on the counter attack.
There might be something in that, because when the opportunity arises we've been scoring some spectacular goals...
Teams could look at how Bruce would set out his stall, come matchday they would have devised a plan to smash his stall up and for the most part this season it worked. Not many have sussed out Martin O'Neill's setup yet, probably because he hasn't done so himself yet, and partly because counter attacking football, which he opts for quite a lot, is so hard to deal with. Any team outside of Manchester has to look at Spurs nowadays and say "that's where we want to be". Building young, energetic and skilful sides is the way forward. The days of buying established stars and making them fit at all costs is well and truly over, unless you're Kenny Dalglish and you have no idea how to manage a football club. Unfortunately for you guys, Bruce was given the combination to the safe last summer and he may (or may not, only time will tell) have wasted a fair bit of cash that O'Neill would have spent elsewhere. For O'Neill to achieve what he has, it's very commendable so far, safety is no longer even on the minds of those that were worrying late last year and that needs to be acknowledged. It looks like stupid old Pulis and his pathetic football has ran aground, and it's about time. His tactics are elementary, nothing short of Sunday league standards, I love that he is being tactically outsmarted by so many managers in this league and spitting his dummy out so often, and I seriously think the guy is on borrowed time. So hopefully one of two things will happen: 1. Pulis is sacked and Stoke, along with their disgusting way of football are either this season or next (more likely next) season take themselves to another league. 2. Pulis is sacked and Stoke, along with their disgusting way of football are either this ..... oh sorry that was the same point. Guess there's only one then.
There's a fair bit of talent in that Stoke squad mate, i'd suggest if Pulis went, and they brought the right man in, they could easily switch styles and be a better team for it. No way will Coates sack Pulis though, no way on earth.
During previous games Sess has looked to be a proper menace to opposition defences, seen lots of the ball and generally shown himself to be a top class player. The performance against Arsenal was probably down to tired legs and a heavy pitch, 5 games in two weeks is a lot to ask. Hence i disagree with the comments made by the Journo, MON didn't get his tactics wrong, the team were tired and did what htey could, subsequently we were pegged back in our own half for long periods and Sess didn't see as much of the ball as he would normally. Got a funny feeling we might see a better performance this week though.
