Toddling along; I've solved the problem of our impending relegation by being one of the last to get the 26/1 that was on offer at the weekend on Bodog.co.uk for it and wacked £150 on, so if/when we go down (can't see us getting more than another 2 points personally) then at least I'll have £4,000 to comfort me!

This not606 is muy sophistocato but there is an awful lot of Tosh (or should that be Tash) on it. Ever since Hughton was assassinated I've been very indifferent as to what happens to the Toon, but its always going to be there; as will I, so I'll just keep an eye out and wait for the mythical good times to maybe pop up. Ashley just boils my bile and I just can't get my head around town being a Southerners plaything!

This video mean's SO much. I was there, and it is one of the last BIG gig's that the bassist did before he passed (RIP Paul Gray <rose>)

Also, when Corey points at the crowd and says 'have you seen this ****?' he's pointing to about me and 50 other people that knew what was coming and got down nice and early!!

Also tried to find the video of a song they did at Newcastle 2008, but all the vids are ****e quality.

lol aye Wein I'm aware of Joey Jordison, was veeeeery tempted to get his custom snare a couple of years back but ended up getting a filthy looking Black Panther one instead.

Ive seen Slipknot at leeds and before seeing them I thought they were a bit of a cliche (just due kids running round with backwards red NY caps and Slipknott hoodies), but was impressed and would listen to them a lot more now, though still wouldn't class myself as a particular fan, I just own the odd song.

As for Joey Jordison, I often feel inclined to slate him PURELY because so many youtube warriors are so vocal in their support of him. He is a class drummer, one of the best of his generation, but I stress ONE of the best. In my opinion there's a belief (Tash, you're guilty of this) that metal is the be and end all and therefore all metal musicians are the best musicians out there.

He is insanely talented, is original and doesn't just stick to the same basic 4/4 variational rhythms, but there are so many other talented drummers out there, it's like someone telling me again and again and again that Man U are the best team in the world because so many other people say it, if you get what I mean.

I love John Dolmayan from System, Eric Sandin from NOFX (the stuff he can do with a single pedal is actually insane - listen to Herojuana, very cool lyrics as well but all of the bass is coming off one pedal!) Josh Morgan from the Subways does everything with a bass, snare, 2 toms and 1 symbol AND THATS IT...Fair ****ing play 'cause he makes some noise. Also, as cliched as it is to say it due to YouTube, Travis Barker is an awesome drummer as well, the pace of his fills and the style he adds to stuff is quality.

Bonham is my hero, he could put triplets with everything, introduced so much to percussion and did it all with a style that is clearly his own...Could listen to him all day!

Again ^^^^^ all done with a single pedal!

Attempted rep for the brilliant taste. Thought I was alone in the Rammstein liking. Also Metallica was my first concert :)

The fact that there was a 5 minute interval makes no difference to the quality of any article you've ever posted on here.

How about an apology for all the other hundreds of pointless articles you've inflicted on us?

Now i'm here, this whole genre is total bollocks - give me Muse or Foo Fighters any day over this utter ****.

I'm going to both!! Cant wait! Also, you have another Rammstein fan here! Du Hast is the ultimate walking song, you cant help but strut with purpose! <laugh>

JWAG, SOAD are one of my favourite bands, and Dolomayan is an amazing drummer! Cant wait to see them at Download, i've been waiting years!

I have to say, i agree about the youtube warrior thing. The best drummer i have ever seen footage of is Neil Pert (Rush?). Some of his solos's are simply astonishing!

    No chance!

It's like saying Shearer is more prolific than Ranger! Unbelievably obviously true!

Actually it's like saying Maradonna was better than Pele. Disputed, no true correct answer.

I prefer Foo Fighters, but i think Nirvana were MUCH more influential and Cobain was many times more talented than he was given credit for. Just listen to an interview with Dave Grohl and you will see how brilliant he was.
