Rovers Starting 11: Mildenhall, Leadbitter, Lockyer, Parkes, Brown, Martin, Mansell, Sinclair, Gosling, Taylor, Cunnington Substitutes: Puddy, McChrystal, Clarke, Harrison, White.
Great result - four on the bounce, a clean sheet and a victory against a team above us. Over 6k is a great turnout too. Well done DC and the boys! UTG!
Yes not bad but a hell of away to go, save the cheering until we are in a proper League and in Div 1, looks like the Teds are determined to increase the GAP. If that is the case we cant afford not to escape from the cess pit we is floating in at present. Just take a good honest look at were we are and how far we have slipped.

Manager full of praise following today's 2-0 win Darrell Clarke couldn't speak highly enough about the clubs supporters displayed in his sides 2-0 victory over Woking at the the Memorial Stadium. Having won the previous three games, Rovers today beat the side that were second in the table whilst remaining unbeaten at home. Adam Cunnington opened the scoring in the second minute before captain Lee Mansell curled in a free kick with less than 10 minutes to go to secure all three points. The manager said "The support here again was fantastic, to get over 6,000 at this level is magnificent. "The crowd really get behind the players here and it does lift them." Darrell also praised the character oh his squad following his change in formation at half time. "Credit goes to the players as well, it's not east to change formation in the middle of the game and they coped with it will. "We started 4-4-2, then went 4-3-3 and then finished 4-4-2 again whilst changing the players so massive credit to the boys for sticking with it." Having scored in the opening 5 minutes for the second consecutive match Darrell was pleased with the way his team have been starting games. "We got on the front foot and got the goal early just like Tuesday and it is a great way to start a game. "We got ourselves into great positions on the counter and eventually got the goal that finished it off." When asked about long term Rovers target signing for Eastleigh, the Rovers boss just said that he was disapointed. "Could he have to things a little more professionally? Yeah I think so but it's done now so we have to move on. "I came of the training pitch on Thursday to find a text from his agent saying that Jamie was going to sign for Eastleigh - which is very disappointing.
DC is proving to be an absolute gem. He's learning fast and I am really looking forward to the rest of the season.
Garry Hill: Woking manager after Bristol Rovers defeat http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29275883 A manager who talk sense a good listen
Rovers boss Darrell Clarke offered an understated response to seeing his side claim their fourth win on the bounce at the Memorial Stadium this afternoon. Adam Cunnington and Lee Mansell were both on target to wrap up a 2-0 win over Woking, which moved Rovers up to seventh place in the Vanarama Conference. When asked about the rapid progress his side has had in the last fortnight since losing at Braintree Town, Clarke replied: “It is crazy this place! When you lose a couple of games it gets lower than a snake’s belly, but when you win a game everyone wants to get the promotion medals out! Let’s just relax. Let’s all enjoy the win and then let’s all just move on. We can’t afford to get carried away because we have two tough away games to come and we all know that our form on the road is in need of major improvement. We also haven’t managed to come from behind to win a game yet this season and that is something we will have to be able to do if we are to be successful. I am delighted inside, but I won’t be getting any champagne bottles out just yet because there are still a lot of areas in which we need to improve.” Woking arrived at the Memorial Stadium as aside placed second in the Vanarama Conference after losing only one of their previous ten games. Garry Hill’s side dominated possession of the ball for long spells with their neat passing game, and Clarke said: “Woking did play some good stuff at times, but they didn’t create too many opportunities. I thought we were very organised and disciplined when we didn’t have the ball and, as a result, Steve Mildenhall didn’t have that much to do. I actually thought we were pretty good on the counter attack and created more clear-cut chances than they did in the end. We had to change shape a couple of times to combat them and we really had to dig in. I was a little bit concerned about the amount of space they were finding in the middle of the park. The credit must go to the players because they have been working hard on the training ground to be able to adapt when we asked them to do different things during a game.” http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Darrel...2956426-detail/story.html#9U5pUP6BmwqE81lR.99
