Played well today. Just didn't have killer instinct up front. Get in a decent target man and we should be ok
said who?? ward said he tried to get in 2 players but 1 the team wouldnt agree the deal and the other the player asked for too much wages. money is available.
just hope by the time one comes in, its not too late as already 3 points away from safety with the worse goal difference. sounded very positive on the radio though. hope ward can pick the boys heads up after this defeat as sounded like we didnt deserve the defeat.
We played with effort and pattern...but no cutting edge. 'Men against boys' at times, and Gillingham really didn't have to get into top gear. Yet another ex-Rovers player going on to do well elsewhere...Adam Barrett. He was totally in control all afternoon. McChrystal was ok without being outstanding..looks alot like Gary Sawyer. O'Toole more subdued, and Richards got little throughout the game. It was one of those games which showed us and Ward the size of the challenge. Two great strikes and a fair result. As is always the case..it's no good having the pressure like we did in the first half if we don't score.
Just seen this story about Mad Dog wanting the Bristol Rovers job before he came to us...http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/story-17768721-detail/story.html?
2ND half may as well run on for another 90 mins as we would have never scored or threatened there goalkeeper very poor not sure what match many think they were watching obviously Plymouth win has gone to there heads.
