Me too but I've committed to it now . Dropped my wide players further back and bought quicker CBs to help it.
Fair play, I guess i just like traditional formations, would never play a team like Tash's Newcastle line up a few pages back, I'd get raped
I just love trying to get a mental formation to work, on UT and FM as well. On head to head I just use the standard ones though.
I used to use a 4-1-3-2 when trying to get back into a game, worked for me. Getting FM12 this month, cant wait to get addicted again.
My UT is - IF Jonas--------------IF Ba----------------------Ben Arfa -----IF Raylor---------Tiote--------IF Cabaye---------- Clichy--------Richards--------K.Toure---------------Sagna ----------------------IF Krul--------------------------- I tried playing with Colo but he's just too slow and his reactions are poor on default and can get skinned by players using nippy dribbling teams.
Best FM (well Championship Manager) formation for me was 2-2-2-2-2 with Chelsea. Went a whole season unbeaten and won most games at least 3-0 that game was piss easy!
I'm addicted to it currently, even got Thiago on a season loan from Barca with the option to buy at the end of the season
Are there any actual sweepers in modern football? Surely they'll stop having them on FM eventually? I played one once, as an experiment and got hammered by a weaker team
No, it's a single CB. I play one CB, 2 DM, 2CM, 1LM, 1RM, 1 CAM, 2ST. Gets a ton of goals, but i always concede.
Really? Huh. I tried it with Woodgate (needed cheap defensive cover) and it was a disaster, but then so was Woodgate's career under me.
Well that's a bit boring then. I think Colo's a sort of de facto sweeper, he always seems to be there to clean stuff up.
Kind of, if we're using FM terminology he's maybe a libero. Always tidying up at the back but loves to burst forward into midfield now and then.
