Strangely enough though, during the summer holidays in Exmouth, Bristol City shirts will often be seen around the town and on the beach, no doubt people staying up at Sandy Bay- Most seen shirts though are West Brom, hundreds of them, closely followed by Villa but very little Birmingham, occasional Wolves and no Walsall's etc. PS- Nice to know that you only occasionally see a shirt in Blue and white quarters
Nothing changes till the promised land .. That equals wave a white flag for ever even in South Bristol. I am involved in two kids teams in Bristol. We are seeing Southampton and WBA kits at traning. Why? Those clubs have started training Bristol kids locally. Antidote is BCFC improve, and redefine what they do and what they are. I see Barcelona and Real Madrid shirts at every training session. Why? Because they are big and cool. The way to combat that is not for this FC to be anonymous. The kids are performing tricks they see Bale, Messi, Naymar and Ronaldo do off you tube. I mentioned City doing their own youtube clips skill of the week performed by JET [cos heâs cool to kids], skills awards - BCFC increasing contact at least in Bristol without having to become a global super club. Coaching. Schools and clubs are constantly in need of qualified coaches. Idea train BCFC coaches and lend them to kids clubs for a month, two months at minimal cost - BCFC increasing contact. Bristol festivals. Hundreds of thousands to hundreds at these events. BCFC nowhere to be seen - BCFC not increasing contact. The FC has to get seen in Bristol. The effort should be relentless. The ripple then moves outwards.
