Seen them & see them all the time. There is plenty of eye witness and circumstantial evidence just because you fail to acknowledge it doesn't mean its not true. Explain to me how all the brain works Mackemsrule
Huh? I'm builder not a brain surgeon. But off the top of my head I'll give it a try. Your brain is made of approximately 100 billion nerve cells, called neurons. Neurons have the amazing ability to gather and transmit electrochemical signals -- think of them like the gates and wires in a computer. Neurons share the same characteristics and have the same makeup as other cells, but the electrochemical aspect lets them transmit signals over long distances (up to several feet or a few meters) and send messages to each other. Neurons come in many sizes. For example, a single sensory neuron from your fingertip has an axon that extends the length of your arm, while neurons within the brain may extend only a few millimetres. They also have different shapes depending on their functions.
Yes & electrolytes keep the electrical activity of the brain stable. When these **** up, it can cause seizures, or fits if you like. Repeated fits result in epilepsy, which is what I have, controlled by drugs of course. There are different types of seizures, tonic, clonic & tonic clonic, or grand mal as it's sometimes called, that's the one I have, I always black out when I have one. The human mind is probably the most complex thing ever.
Aye mate it can be a bugger when it goes wrong. Not nice at all. Then there are dreams that people have that are so vivid they seem real. Also there are hallucinations and even mass hallucinations where people see things that aren't there. Add to this mind bending drugs like LSD and it's easy to see how people can be fooled by their own brain.
I'm jealous of people who have vivid dreams that they remember clearly. There are times I remember having a dream but can't recall what it was about. We were talking about the Old 29, a dream I had years ago was of jumping out of the top window in the Borough opposite the ABC. (A dream based on a real event from my teens. )
You wouldn't be jealous of some of the ones I've had marra. There's times I've woke up with my hands around the throat of the woman I loved.
That's just a small part of it. Do you have memories tell me where they come from and are stored so you can recall them, give me the proof of what makes you think, reason and form ideas, have the ability to argue and feel emotions, why and how do we dream, what makes Billy wake up in the middle if the night with his hands around the throat of the woman he loves for that matter explain what love is? I don't have the answers or proof literal that we do any of the above things but we do. There are far more things in this world than science has the answers for.
Let's just agree that it is a very subjective subject. As I stated earlier, I have seen one or two things (for the record it was an old woman leaning over my then baby daughters cot and on another occasion, a younger woman who looked like she was praying at the side of our bed) which I can't explain. When I saw these things, I was certainly conscious, and noticed other things in the room such as my razor light showing that it was fully charged, and I had not been out on the lash by the way. However, although I watched both of these images fade away when I watched them, I don't automatically come to the conclusion that they were ghosts, but rather they represent something which I have no explanation for.
To be fair mate there has been too many people who have seen stuff like this to just dismiss it out of hand, I don't believe in ghosts but, I wouldn't just say people are talking **** because they do same goes for flying saucers. It's what people believe for me and, that's up to them not going to put them down for that. The only thing I believe is that Sunderland must win against Norwich and we must stay in the PL, too much for a football forum or what?
We've talked about this before Reg mate. When Janie died I could at times feel & hear her breathing & also smell her perfume. It only happened when I was low & although she will always be in my heart, the pain is fading & it doesn't happen much at all know. Mind playing tricks, subconscious, or was there something there? Who knows, even the neurologist struggle with it at times. It's the same with dreams, sometimes they're about thing you have on your mind, sometime not. I once dreamed that I cut our Niall's legs of with a chainsaw as he couldn't fit in his pedal car. I used to often dream I was up in court for murder. Never ever found out who it was or how I did it but in the dream I always know I'm guilty.
It is a very strange and subjective subject mate..By my very nature I always strive to seek evidence based logical answers for everything..However, I'm also sure that there are many things out there that neither I, nor science for that matter, can account for, so I try to be open minded about these things..
