The "England" riots, which were really just London riots, lasted 5 days. The nationwide level of rioting was no where near the level we are seeing in France though, from what I remember of the events - on Merseyside some teenagers were running about but were quickly returned home, same for Manchester and Birmingham. I remember there was more fear of perhaps something happening than anything actually happening. As Spurly said, perhaps strictly come dancing was on that night, we were all home watching that. The level of fighting in France is mindblowing.
It's not rioting mate, it's free for all looting and destruction. Burning innocent peoples cars and wrecking/emptying ordinary shop owners premisses of goods and destroying their lives will not make one scrap of difference to the authorities but will ruin a lot of normal innocent people and make the "rioters" happy about the fun they had and the new TVs or Trainers they got for free.
Rioting in my opinion is not political, that's protesting, you can have violent protests. But I think there's a big difference between a violent protest and a riot, a riot is just people out of control smashing **** up. I watched a vid the other month of the LA Riots were the Korean community all stood on their rooves with rifles ready to fire on the rioters as they approached.
Right wingers tend to be nationalists. They will be raging at seeing what these cnuts are doing to the country. They’ll get all the bad coverage if they do start taking libertys with the rioters but they certainly won’t be any worse than them.

It's funny her talking about returning to the values of a republic and how French history is littered with a fight against enslaving. The republic in France came about because the masses rose up, burnt down Paris, marched on Versailles and lopped off the heads of the aristocracy and a few others for good measure. And French history since has been littered with direct action and public disorder to effect change. She's clearly talking absolute bollox.

Was listening to some so called journalist, saying the riots are about defund the police, dearm the police, then started going on something about white supremacy in France. Well the last time I heard these lines was from a female (BLM) in the UK, if I remember correctly, she mixed with such good intended people at a house party, so much so that she ended up with a bullet in the head, hasn't been heard of since. I didn't see people rioting after that incident, strange world eh.

Why should they implode, what harm they done you? I actually do care about the French, despite some of the bolloxs that gets wrote about brexiters. Yeah the police were completely in the wrong and deserved a backlash - what France didn't deserve was the rioting and destruction for completely other objectives. From what i've seen of the rioters, most appear well dressed and well fed, but something about racism and white supremacy. Do you think I would seriously listen to someone who burned my business down, burned my house down, attacked my family, attacked schools, attacked public transport, I'd be building detention centres to lock them up in and throw away the key. Hopefully some of them will get very long sentences. France never deserved what we saw happen next. As for dearming the cops, can you imagine what it would be like, the lunatics would run the asylum. AS the BLM shooting proved, some individuals do have something to hide, normally involving a very large knife or as in the case of Sasha's the fear of being shot, but not by a cop.
