Boruc was fantastic for Celtic, wasn't he injured when he joined Fiorentina which stopped him playing regularly?

Jesus @ that list. Who next, Jermaine Jenas?

Someone get Dean Ashton on the phone, talk him out of retirement!

Boenisch is not great. At th Euros he looked very skakey, no real pace not great at going forwards either. Good header of the ball and not bad at tackling.

John Mensah as well if he could prove his fitness. Still only 29 and played for some top clubs.

Mensah and Drenthe would be good options imo, obviously depending on their fitness/attitude/wages

The Drenthe thing was about him not returning from some personal leave he received when at Everton wasn't it?

I also know that Gordon was in talks with Bristol City over the summer and they offered him similar money to what David James was on, 20k a week, and he turned them down.

Not sure if it was because he wants more money or if he wanted a Prem club though, or a combination of both

Yeah he was as far as I know, that comes with the territory of playing for Real though. Really bad career choice by him early on in his career

Was only five years ago that Netherlands won the U21 Euro's and Drenthe was the best player by miles. Obviously it's all gone wrong for him since then. Now the best thing about him is his middle name.
