I'd say it's bigger. They've come a lot further than we did.

It's ridiculous. I was chatting with a customer then looked at my watch and said got to go as I'm following the Cherries tonight. He wondered, I thought you were a Saints supporter..? I am, I said. But I'll be as chuffed as hell for Bournemouth if they go up.

I was more referring to the match itself. Massive nerves before the opening goal and then party time.

I have to agree. They've come from further back and they're a much, much smaller club. They may not have the back-to-back promotions, but what they are doing is historic. If this comes off it will be superb for South Coast football.

Us in Europe and Bournemouth in the prem would be a fantastic season for the south coast.

Best possible outcome. Last minute drama is overrated when it's your neck on the line!

I'm just delighted the two biggest clubs on the south coast will be in the Prem. Be nice if the third, Brighton, could join us in a year's time.

Be nice if the fourth, Eastleigh, made it to the FL too! Put Pompey in their place.

Don't forget little Eastleigh becoming a league club for the first time ever.

There's a lad playing tonight who looks like he could play in a Saints shirt too.... Looks like he's from good stock with his control, passing and linkup play.

I think his name is Surman.

Love the fact that a willingness to play beautiful football has become the great equalizer in the Championship. Teams that have the courage to do so have been getting rewarded in recent years, while bigger clubs stifle and struggle ...long may it continue.

Which is why I'd like MK Dons to go up from league one... They play nicely too.

Wouldn't be a surprise to see them push for a playoff spot next year, either.

Partly, I suspect that it owes to the way that conventional wisdom about the lower leagues has lagged behind reality. There are some plowed fields remaining, but most of the pitches in League One are good enough to allow for an expansive style of play with the ball on the floor, and virtually all of the pitches in the Championship meet that standard. You cannot hoof and hip-check your way up the leagues...some of the good young managers know it, but some of the old warhorses haven't yet adapted.

I wouldn't mind us bidding for Adam Bogdan the Bolton keeper in the summer, he's been excellent tonight.
