    It'd be great. In the absence of the blue few (an absence likely to continue for a very long time), it would just about pass as a local rivalry. Like most Saints fans, I have a soft spot for the Cherries, but they don't seem to reciprocate the warmth we feel for them. So I'd welcome the chance to remind them who rules the South Coast.

    Why is it always assumed that a dislike of a particular team is due to jealousy? There are other motivations....

    kept drawing them in the cups and playing them in pre-season friendlies. We played them something like 6 times in two seasons. It's like ffs, can we play someone else please? Not their fault as such, but still a bit annoying.

    So you should be pleased that they are getting further and further above you, so there is less chance of having to play them for a long, long time.
