We play them this week-end. I hope the caretaker effect doesn't raise their game too much! <yikes>

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24490994Think he's talking about QPR?Huddersfield Town: Dean Hoyle criticises 'horrendous' spendingHuddersfield Town chairman Dean Hoyle has criticised the amount of money some clubs in the Championship are spending to try to get promoted. The Terriers are in their second season at that level following promotion and Hoyle says he will not gamble their future on attempting to go up again."This season our wage bill has gone down to £9m," he told BBC Radio Leeds."The top clubs in this league are paying around £25-30m and that is horrendous."He added: "I've heard of a club in our league paying loan players £34,000 and they are taking huge risks."Some clubs that have come down from the top division have behaved unbelievably."

Oh I see, thanks. My recent hobby while bored at work is looking up the history of no longer in use football grounds. I find the old photos from the 70's and 80's quite nostalgic and poignant.

You should get around to Plough lane shortly then. This website will help you with the old grounds. Click on the appropriate button far right top:

That is on an interim basis, however, with the club looking to bringing in a permanent replacement in the coming weeks.

Hmm well, they certainly could have done worse, though I'm not sure he's upto all that messy day-to-day stuff, even for the interim.

No, not at all. I've spent the odd 20 minutes looking through the football ground guide, and remembering something I've wanted to look up. Good site. Responsive too. I once sent the author an e-mail on the subject of St Mary's capacity, where I knew his figure was incorrect. He obtained the exact figure from the club, corrected it and sent me a reply e-mail about it, thanking me for the feedback. Can't really say fairer than that.

Saw it. Utter quality. That lad has always known how to strike a ball well. At 24, he could still be a PL player.
