Paul Ince given five-match STADIUM ban, and forced to pay a £4,000 fine due to abusive and aggressive behaviour towards match officials.

So apparently, MK Dons have named the road they paid for, which leads to Stadium:MK, 'Plough Lane' - ouch.

Promoting the Portsmouth v Plymouth match as a derby on Sky...the Dockside Derby no less. I suppose there must be a rivalry connected with the Navy between the two cities, but do either team regard it as a derby? Genuine question.

If memory serves used to be quite a lot of trouble at these matches when they were in the old Div 2.

Funny sky calling it that, The Plymouth OS advertised it as the "Dockyard Derby", but it's always simply been known as "The Battle of the Ports".

I would imagine 50 odd years ago there would have been plenty of sailors (in uniform) at the games - Many Royal Navy sailors 'adopted one side or the other, in the same way that you might cheer on Oxford or Cambridge in the boat race.
As far as rivalry between the sides is concerned, this is the first league fixture since the 1991-92 season in the Second Division [Championship] when Argyle won 3-2 at Home Park on New Years Day and Pompey won 4-1 at Fratton on 2nd February.
We've met in the League Cup a couple of time since then plus a few pre-season friendlies. I don't envisage much [if any] crowd trouble.

They have similar names, starting with P ending in mouth. Surely that's enough?

It's the name of the old Wimbledon F.C. ground.

What I don't get is why so many Milton Keynes fans are in favour of keeping the 'Dons' part of their name. If I were a MK fan, I would want it dropped as soon as possible. Sure they argue it's part of their heritage and history but it has nothing to do with Milton Keynes itself, it sounds a bit rubbish and it serves as a constant reminder of the circumstances in which they were formed. They want people to stop calling them Franchise FC and appreciating them for the club they are, but I'm not sure that's possible until they drop the Dons part of their name, as it sort of screams "Franchise" and while it's there, MK will always have a reputation.

Is there any one that actually likes MK Dons? (Apart from their own fans)

I'm pleased that AFC Wimbledon has been formed, but, whilst I'm not sure it is right to uproot a club, it is legally okay. Not overly concerned about it, though it would be interesting if both clubs play each other. Don't forget Old Wimbledon didn't have the greatest support in the first place.
