Does Chelsea no harm. 27% possession is a crime against football........but it seems to work for them pretty darn well. Thought they'd chuck a spanner in today.
Kevin Phillips is finally going to retire at the end of this season. Fair play to him. Great striker who came back to Saints and did well. Wasm't as loved as Ormerod and that will be one of life's great mysteries. God loves a trier. I love skill, and this lad had goal scoring skill by the bucket load. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27193835
Nice interview with him on 5live at half time this evening. Steve Claridge was very complimentary about him too. What a lovely way to finish your career though, getting a Championship winner's medal at the end of your last game.
If you can't let everything go once in a year then it's a pretty boring life having to rely on that old adrenalin. Once in a while there's sheer euphoria, borne of nothing but good feeling.
Big fan of the new Wolves kit.
So despite all the controversy surrounding his arrival, José Riga has kept Charlton up with a game to spare. He then did this at full-time. Sounds like a goodbye, to me?
Ben Reeves hasn't done bad for himself since leaving Saints. Tonight was MK's awards night. Ben won... Players' Player of the Season Fans' Player of the Season MK Dons Disabled Supporters Association Player of the Year Goal of the Season
Well, he's a very good player indeed. He was just unlucky to have such good players in front of him at Saints.
That's little surprise. He's done brilliantly since taking over. If Pompey had appointed him at the beginning of the season and had kept up their present form, they'd have been celebrating League One status by now.
We'll see how good he really is, when he has a pre-season and a whole season in charge. Not convinced myself.
Of course, it will be a different matter. But he's done well. They were 21st or 22nd when he took over. Now they are 11th. Impressive.
the star (rolleyes) reckons we're interested in Gulacsi. Two keepers linked now. I'll take that as a positive. f**k missed the transfer thread. dialing wand in the post.
Awfsome Awford! Hopefully he can lead us to promotion. At least this year we're not building an entire team from scratch. As we already have a fairly decent squad in place, thus changes that are made won't need to be wholesale and just a bit of tinkering. A bit of stability in terms of playing staff will do us wonders I'm sure!
Should have done it when he first took over, truth is Barker was a Saints plant, done to get revenge for you letting Twitchie come to us.
A win tomorrow guarantees Nigel Adkins and Reading a play-off spot. If Wigan lose, and Reading win, Reading will face QPR in the play-off semi-final. If Reading win and Wigan draw or win, Reading will face Derby. A draw could be good enough, but will rely on Brighton not winning their game.
